MyFurnishingSpace.com is one of the newest projects being produced by FurnitureDealer.net. Designed to meet the interests of today's furniture consumer, MyFurnishingSpace.com is a new furniture social networking site devoted to all things furniture, home furnishings, and decorating. We envision MyFurnishingSpace as place where consumers, interior decorators and interior designers, furniture salespeople, and other industry insiders can come together to share their ideas and their passion.

The goal of My Furnishing Space is to create a forum where customers can get inspiration as well as share their ideas with designers, salespeople, and each other in a forum that modern consumers understand - internet social networking sites. According to Steve O'Hear at ZDNet, the top 20 social networking sites accounted for 6.5% of all internet traffic in February 2007. You read that right - all traffic on the internet - that's pretty significant, considering how many millions of websites there are. That was over a year and a half ago, and traffic to social networking sites continues to grow. People not only understand this new form of interaction - they love it!

Connecting Consumers and Home Furnishings Professionals

At it's most basic level, the site consists of profiles for both companies and individuals/families. Here they can post pictures of themselves and their home, write about themselves and their interests, and even write a blog to keep people updated about their new projects and successes. You can also leave comments and see a person's contacts, which allows people to share the community they are a part of and interact with eachother. This brings a personal connection to our busy lives and allows us to share our interest in furniture and home furnishings with friends and professionals alike.
